John Bollard

Senior Associate

John is a senior associate on our Dispute Resolution team. John practices in corporate and personal insolvency law and corporate recovery related litigation. His experience includes acting for secured creditors, usually financial institutions, and unsecured creditors of companies in financial distress.

John also advises companies and their officers on solvency issues and has acted for a variety of stakeholders in formal insolvency processes including examinerships, compulsory and voluntary liquidations, receiverships and bankruptcy. John has experience of insolvency-related litigation, acting for both insolvency office-holders and secured and unsecured creditors in disputes including those involving high value recoveries.

Representative Matters

  • Advising a number of Ireland’s largest banks in claims brought by borrowers relating to tracker mortgages.
  • Advising AIB on a High Court application for the appointment of a receiver by way of equitable execution.
  • Advising receivers on all aspects of the receivership process, including corporate receiver sales and receivership related litigation.
