We hosted an online event on Tuesday 3 November looking at the European Green Deal in the context of the global energy outlook.

The Green Deal, which was announced last December, will work towards a carbon-neutral continent by 2050. This ‘first of its kind’ package includes key policies aimed at ambitiously cutting emissions, investing in cutting-edge research and innovation and preserving Europe’s natural environment. Our panel of expert speakers discussed what this means for Ireland as we move towards the end of a very turbulent year for the country and the economy. We were also joined by the International Energy Agency who shared details of their recent World Energy Outlook 2020 report.
