Lirion Power Launch
Acquisition of operational onshore wind assets from Greencoat Renewables plc

We are pleased to have advised HitecVision and Reinova Partners on the launch of Lirion Power, a new Irish renewable energy platform, and its acquisition of six operational onshore wind assets from Greencoat Renewables plc.
The acquired portfolio comprises five wholly owned wind farms and a 50% interest in a sixth, with a combined generating capacity of 116 MW.
The establishment of Lirion Power marks a significant step, positioning the platform as a long-term investor in Ireland’s low-carbon energy infrastructure with a focus on unlocking additional value through future development.
Commenting on the deal, Eoin Cassidy, Energy sector lead partner at Mason Hayes & Curran, said:
"This acquisition underlines the strength of investor confidence in Ireland’s renewable energy sector and the future development opportunities in the market. We are proud to have supported HitecVision and Reinova Partners on this landmark transaction and establishing Lirion Power as a key player in the market, which will contribute meaningfully to Ireland’s broader energy transition."
The transaction team was led by Eoin Cassidy and was supported by partners William Dillon-Leetch (Corporate), Peter McLay (Energy), Deirdre Nagle (Planning), Stephen Cowhey (Real Estate), Kevin Mangan (Tax), Conor Lynch (Banking) and Tara Kelly (Competition).
