Senior Associate

Alice is a Senior Associate in our Corporate team, specialising in Charities & Not-for-Profit. Alice advises Irish charities on appropriate legal structures, governance matters, fundraising, Revenue Commissioners requirements and all aspects of the Charities Act 2009.

Alice’s charity clients include companies, trusts, religious organisations, hospitals, schools, colleges, universities and unincorporated associations.

Alice has significant experience in advisory matters including advising on best practice in the charities and not-for-profit sector on matters such as corporate governance, board composition, fundraising practice and structuring. Alice regularly advises her clients on registration with and reporting to the Charities Regulatory Authority and their obligations under the Charities Act 2009.

Alice also has a particular expertise in Companies Limited by Guarantee, and advises charities on their obligations under the Companies Act 2014.

Speaking Engagements & Teaching

  • Alice regularly provides training to boards of directors and trustees of Irish charities on Charity Law, the Companies Act 2014 and compliance with regulatory obligations.
  • Alice is a guest Lecturer on the Bachelor of Commerce Degree in UCD, where she lectures on Social Entrepreneurship.
