New Head of Healthcare at Mason Hayes & Curran

Leading business law firm Mason Hayes & Curran has announced the appointment of Kevin Power as Head of their Healthcare team.

Kevin, a former practising medical doctor, advises a number of Ireland’s major obstetric, general and psychiatric hospitals in the public and private sectors as well as a number of leading Irish and multinational pharmaceutical, medical device and food companies. He has particular expertise in the defence of complex high-value clinical negligence cases, advocacy and product liability litigation. He will lead an eight-lawyer team which advises on the largest and most complex clinical negligence and healthcare product liability claims, healthcare & pharmaceutical regulation, and risk management.                   

The firm’s Healthcare team is part of the firm’s wider cross-disciplinary healthcare advisory practice which advises public and private hospitals and healthcare providers on all of the legal issues that affect them, including corporate structuring and clinical governance, risk management strategies, regulatory compliance and accreditation, professional discipline, medico-legal advice, data privacy, employment law, construction, property transactions and technology agreements.
