We are pleased to announce that Brian McElligott has re-joined Mason Hayes & Curran as partner and will take up the role of Head of Artificial Intelligence in the Technology legal team. Brian will lead on this emerging area of law, which will have significant impact on Irish and international business in the coming years. Brian brings 15 years’ of experience in both private practice and in-house roles to the team. He previously worked as a partner in the firm’s award-winning Intellectual Property team.

Brian is a member of the EU AI Alliance Programme, ForHumanity and was also a member of the legal working working group on AI for the National Standards Authority of Ireland. He is a registered Irish and EU trade mark and design agent and former chair of the Licensing Executives Society of Ireland and the Irish branch of the Anti-Counterfeiting Group.

He is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin.
