In the Frame: Art at Mason Hayes & Curran

29 March 2017

We are fortunate to have one of the most important corporate art collections of Irish and International contemporary art in Dublin. Included in the collection is ‘The Golf Player’ by Bartosz Kolata.

Des Murray, Director of Finance, has chosen this piece as his favourite from our collection and he explains why: "I chose this piece as my favourite because it has always caught my eye and always comes to mind when discussing the art collection. The vivid green colour of the painting together with the isolation of the golfer, in his own world, facing the challenge of the putt, draws you in and brightens up the room. The golfer also bears a resemblance to Jack Nicklaus, one of the greatest golfers of all time and always becomes a discussion point when I am at meetings in the room where it is."

Support of the visual arts is a large part of our CSR strategy and we are a long-time supporter of “Business to Arts”, whose aim is to broker, enable and support creative partnerships between business and the arts.

We are also proud to sponsor the Royal Hibernian Academy’s (RHA) art education programme, which works with three schools in our local Ringsend area and allows children to learn about and interact with art.
