Niamh Callaghan, Partner in the Mason Hayes & Curran Sport and Not-for-Profit Law team, spoke about recent developments in governance in the area in conjunction with Maura Quinn, CEO of the Institute of Directors, Deirdre Garvey, CEO of the Wheel, and Dennis O’Connor, Director of 2Into3. The talk was moderated by Rob Hartnett of Sport For Business.
In the current era of increasing regulation, a proactive approach to governance is ever more important, and the speakers discussed how sports bodies can keep on top of governance while meeting the other pressures that come with running a busy sports organisation.
