We were delighted to host a webinar discussing the draft Admission Policy for Secondary Schools with our Education Team on April 23, 2020.

During this webinar, our team focused on what is permissible and what is not under the Admissions Act. They also provided practical advice on how to navigate through the Department of Education & Skills templates.

You will recall, during the webinar, we outlined an offer of further support for any school who would like us to review your draft Admissions Policy, for compliance with the many requirements set out in the recently commenced Admissions Act. Our Education Team will happily complete such a review, provided we receive a copy without delay, as we are conscious that each school’s draft policy must be submitted to your Patron by end April. Clearly, it is not our function to write your Admissions Policy – our review would be a legal review with the focus on compliance with the Act. In the absence of any exceptional issues arising, our proposed review fee will be €500 plus VAT. Please email ioherlihy@mhc.ie for further details.
