We are pleased to sponsor the Edufest reception at the Education Buildings Ireland Conference, which takes place on 6-7 November 2024 at the RDS, Dublin.
This two-day event is organised in partnership with the Government of Ireland, with a focus on creating high-quality educational environments for learners at all levels.
It brings together everyone who is involved in the funding, design, construction, management and maintenance of learning spaces, to focus on challenges and opportunities and share best practice.
Robert Rooney, Construction Partner, said: “Capital expenditure for primary and secondary level education is likely to exceed €1bn for the first time when Budget 2025 is announced later this year. The cumulative spend in higher and further education is similar.
While the increases in expenditure are welcome, they come as the sector tries to return to normality after several years of price shocks caused by Covid-19, Brexit, the war in Ukraine and general price pressures.
The sector is also doing its bit in terms of moving to modular methods of construction, net zero and the sustainability agenda – but with each of those comes learnings and change.
The Education Buildings Ireland Conference is a valuable opportunity to come together and discuss these issues. Our firm is at the heart of construction legal issues in the education sector, and we are delighted to sponsor the Edufest drinks reception. We look forward to seeing you there.”
