Our Financial Services team is once again sponsoring the Global Fund Finance Symposium, hosted by the Fund Finance Association. This year’s event takes place from 2 to 4 February in Miami Beach, Florida.

The symposium is a key forum for the global fund finance market. It brings together lawyers, investors, fund managers and banks to share insights, examine market developments and strengthen professional networks.

The global private funds market has seen tremendous growth over the past decade. While Ireland is already established as one of the leading domiciles of choice for the global investment funds industry, there have been significant developments in recent years.

The changes have resulted in Ireland growing its share of the private funds market. They include the introduction of a best-in-class investment limited partnership product, which has been complemented more recently by revisions to the Central Bank of Ireland’s AIFMD Q&A document. The Central Bank has also proposed a significant overhaul of its AIF Rulebook to further simplify and improve the private funds framework in Ireland. As a result of the increasing number of Irish domiciled private funds, the fund finance market is a significant growth area from an Irish perspective.
