New Legal Leaders
We are pleased to announce the promotion of new senior lawyers, including three new Partners and seven Of Counsel. The appointments reflect our continued strategic growth and long-term investment in talent development.
The promotions enhance our capabilities in key sectors such as technology, financial services, and healthcare, while strengthening core practice areas including dispute resolution, employment, and debt capital markets. The new roles underscore the firm’s commitment to aligning legal expertise with the needs of both domestic and international clients in a highly dynamic legal and regulatory landscape.

Headquartered in Dublin, with offices in London, New York, and San Francisco, we continue to invest in the development of legal leaders with the insight and capability to deliver value in increasingly complex markets.

The newly promoted partners are:

Andrew Gill
Andrew is a Partner and a member of our Debt Capital Markets and Financial Services team. He advises clients on a broad range of structured finance transactions encompassing all asset types. Andrew also advises clients entering into derivatives transactions. With expertise in both private practice and in-house, he brings a practical approach to complex issues. Andrew recently advised a US-based client on the establishment of a European exchange-traded programme offering investors exposure to crypto assets.
Andrew is a graduate of University College Dublin and is a dual Irish and English law qualified solicitor.
Andrew commented: “My principal focus is advising clients on the full range of capital markets and structured finance transactions. I'm looking forward to growing our practice and building our portfolio of working clients."
Conor O’Leary
Conor is a Partner in our Dispute Resolution and Built Environment teams. He is known for his work on high-value commercial disputes, particularly structural defect litigation. He also advises on complex investigations, often involving cybercrime or regulatory action. Conor provides clear, focused advice that aligns with clients’ priorities and helps protect their future. Conor has successfully represented the owners of units in large-scale residential developments in claims for damages against various parties, including developers and insurers.
Conor is a graduate of UCD (BCL) and UCC (LLM) and is a member of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA).
Conor commented: “Disputes are part of doing business. My focus is on providing clear, considered advice and managing disputes in a way that reflects our clients' priorities.”
Micheál McCarthy
Micheál is a Partner in our Data and Technology team. He advises some of the world’s leading technology companies on regulatory investigations, cybersecurity, and the development of new and innovative products and technologies. He regularly advises on novel topics at the intersection of law and new technology.
Micheál is a graduate of Dublin City University and is a member of the Law Society of Ireland.
Micheál commented: “In my new role as Partner, I will continue to provide clients with pragmatic and commercial solutions to complex legal matters and bring clarity on data and technology compliance issues.”
The newly promoted Of Counsel are:

Aimée Lenehan
Aimée is Of Counsel in our Medical Law and Healthcare teams. She has nearly 20 years’ experience advising on high-stakes professional negligence claims and regulatory hearings. She has acted as a trusted advisor to a diverse range of clients in the healthcare sector, both in Ireland and internationally. Her clients range from consultants and hospitals to pharmaceutical companies and healthcare indemnity providers.
Aimée is a graduate of UCD and a member of the Medico-Legal Society of Ireland.
Aimée commented: “I’m committed to guiding clients through complex proceedings with clarity and rigour, ensuring efficient and fair resolution of matters.”
Avril Daly
Avril is Of Counsel in our Employment and Technology teams. She works with employers across all stages of the employment lifecycle, from onboarding to restructuring and exit. Her priority is listening to clients, asking the right questions, and providing tailored advice that works. Avril recently advised a multinational technology company on a large-scale redundancy, showcasing her expertise in restructuring and fair dismissals.
Avril is a graduate of University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Civil Law, a Masters in Law, and a Diploma in Employment Law. She is also a member of the Law Society of Ireland.
Avril commented: “Having started my career in Mason Hayes & Curran, I am proud to now be Of Counsel and continue to help clients navigate all phases of the employment relationship.”
Caroline Fitzpatrick
Caroline is Of Counsel in our Medical Law and Healthcare teams. Caroline focuses on the defence of complex clinical negligence claims and is a strong advocate for mediation. She specialises in guiding clients with clear, practical advice.
Caroline is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and has been with the firm for 25 years.
Caroline commented: “Mediation can often provide a more constructive path forward and help everyone involved reach a resolution with speed.”
David Hickey
David is Of Counsel in our Medical Law and Healthcare teams. David supports healthcare providers with medical negligence claims, inquests, and inherent jurisdiction applications. Clients rely on his practical and calm guidance when facing challenges. With many years of experience, he prioritises outcomes that reflect a client’s best interests.
David is a graduate of UCD, formerly worked with the Medical Council, and is a member of the Medico-Legal Society of Ireland.
David commented: “My work includes defending clinical claims and guiding clients through coroner's court inquests, ensuring they feel supported and well prepared.”
Eimear O’Brien
Eimear is Of Counsel in our Dispute Resolution, and Food and Beverage teams, where she works predominantly in the area of Intellectual Property. Eimear advises on a broad range of intellectual property matters including trade mark protection, passing off, and patent infringement. She also advises clients on defamation litigation. Eimear recently advised on the assignment of two large publication portfolios following the winding down of the existing publishers. Eimear also managed the distribution and protection of the various intellectual rights in the context of the transactions, showcasing her expertise in practical IP matters.
Eimear is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and a qualified Irish and European trade mark and design attorney.
Eimear said: “Protecting what clients have built, from brand identity to creative assets, is what drives my work, and I look forward to working more closely with clients in the years ahead.”
Jane O'Neill
Jane is Of Counsel in our Medical Law and Healthcare teams. With a background at the Bar, Jane brings seasoned judgement to litigation and frequently represents healthcare professionals at inquests. She develops litigation strategies tailored to the needs of each healthcare client.
Jane is a graduate of UCD, QUB, and King’s Inns.
Jane said: “Each case is different, and I develop strategies that reflect the client’s context and goals to ensure that a bespoke approach is taken to each matter."
Katie McAuliffe
Katie is Of Counsel in our Medical Law and Healthcare teams. She advises hospitals and clinicians on the legal challenges that come with delivering care, from inquests to clinical claims. Katie offers deep insight and assurance so clients can make confident decisions, even in difficult circumstances.
Katie is a graduate of UCC and a member of the Medico-Legal Society of Ireland.
Katie commented: “I focus on providing solution-driven guidance on the complex and often sensitive issues that arise in the healthcare sector and beyond.”
