We acted for Metka on its first acquisition in the Irish market. Metka is a subsidiary of a Greek parent company, Metka EGN, who are leading international contractor who provides complete turn-key solar power solutions for utility scale PV projects. Metka are also listed on numerous stock exchanges.
This transaction involved the acquisition of two development stage solar farms, with a combined capacity of 10MW. This was a bi-lateral transaction with Elgin Energy. We advised Metka on all aspects of the transaction, and provided detailed advice on the Irish energy market generally as well as the specific issues relating to the solar projects. Our advice was essentially to Metka proceeding with the transaction and assessing legal due diligence issues to allow Metka make various commercial decisions.
