Our award-winning sustainability initiative, Green Month, returns this May with a targeted programme of events and initiatives to increase engagement in environmentally sustainable practices in the firm and in our community.

The programme includes VegFest, with guest speakers Ken Kinsella from The Source Bulk Foods, and keen composter Mary Hoy. It will also feature a coastal clean-up, beekeeping workshop, vegetarian and vegan cooking demonstration, a sustainability-themed table quiz and initiatives to encourage clothing donation, shopping locally and avoiding the use of single-use plastics.

Running since 2018, Green Month is just one example of the firm’s commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness. We are committed to reducing energy consumption and purchase Green Energy only. We are promoting the idea of a paperless office and, since June 2021, seven departments have completed their paperless projects. We have implemented an Environmental Management System which recently re-certified the ISO 14001 certification from the National Standards Authority of Ireland.

To help our clients with their ESG and sustainability priorities, we introduced an ESG hub and have been actively involved in The Chancery Lane Project, or TCLP. This is a collaborative initiative of international legal professionals working together to develop a comprehensive suite of green lease clauses, which may be used in commercial leases in Ireland.
