Mason Hayes & Curran is a finalist in the Green Awards 2022, for the firm’s Green Month initiative. We were proud to be awarded The Green Professional Services Award in 2020, recognising our exceptional commitment to developing and maintaining sustainable business practices.
We held our first ever Green Month in January 2018, where we used innovative approaches to educate, open minds and encourage greener living.
Green Month 2022, running from 7 April, promises to be bigger and better than ever before. The event focuses on increasing environmental awareness in the firm and in our community, so that we can make positive changes in our work practices and in our lives. A busy programme of fun and informative events kicks off with VegFest, where Pat Kane (founder of sustainable brand reuzi) will talk about sustainable living and provide suggestions for a less wasteful lifestyle.
A bee garden planting workshop, clothing upcycling event, community clean-up and green table quiz will also take place, along with initiatives to encourage staff to walk or cycle to work, avoid the use of single-use plastics and shop locally where possible.
Green Month is just one example of the firm’s commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness. We have implemented an Environmental Management System which recently re-certified the ISO 14001 certification from the National Standards Authority of Ireland.
