Tuesday 24th June 2025
We hosted our webinar, Consumer Protection in Financial Services - Are You Ready for Change? on Tuesday 24 June 2025.
The Central Bank of Ireland’s (CBI) revised Consumer Protection Code will come into effect in March 2026 and will apply to most regulated financial services business conducted in Ireland. Firms need to begin preparing now to meet the enhanced requirements.
Our panel of experts provided practical legal insights on the key changes, including new rules around digital business models, treatment of vulnerable customers, and the CBI’s guidance on securing customers’ interests. They also discussed how Irish regulatory expectations may be moving closer to the UK’s Consumer Duty and what this means for implementation planning.
