We hosted a webinar on Thursday 21 October at 11am looking at the Beneficial Ownership of Trusts, and the changes that have been introduced by the European Union (Anti-Money Laundering: Beneficial Ownership of Trust) Regulations 2021. These regulations recently commenced in Ireland and replaced the 2019 Beneficial Ownership of Trust Regulations. At this webinar our speakers looked at how the new regulations could specifically impact charities and not-for-profits, as well as businesses, how to determine if the new regulations are applicable and what steps are needed to take to ensure compliance.
