About Matthew
Matthew is an associate in our Data & Technology team. Based in London, he advises leading technology companies on regulatory investigations and product counselling across data protection, privacy, AI and cybersecurity law. Matthew supports clients through all phases of regulatory engagement, including contentious matters.
Matthew previously completed a legal secondment at the UK data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), where he managed a caseload of regulatory inquiries, including investigations into high-profile cyber incidents and data breaches.
Before joining Mason Hayes & Curran, Matthew practised at a US law firm in London. He also worked at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris, where he advised member governments on privacy, AI and cybersecurity policy. Matthew regularly writes and speaks on developments in EU and UK technology regulation.
