Like most of the world, we have been shocked at the events unfolding in Ukraine. As people who work in a law firm, we should never take for granted the freedoms we enjoy living in a democratic society which respects the rule of law.

In response to the invasion of Ukraine we have made a donation of €50,000 to support humanitarian relief. The donation is made via UNICEF which has established a dedicated fund to prioritise aid for children affected by the war. The escalating conflict poses an immediate and growing threat to the country’s 7.5 million children. In recent days, hundreds of thousands of people have been forced to flee their homes and UNICEF is rapidly scaling up efforts to respond to the multiplying humanitarian needs across the country.

UNICEF hopes to provide access to basic services including water and sanitation, immunisation and health care, schooling and learning, psychosocial support, and emergency cash assistance for millions of children.

We hope that other businesses in Ireland can support this vital cause and help those unable to defend themselves.
