Sustainable Business Impact Awards

We are pleased to announce that we have been shortlisted in the Volunteering category of the Chambers Ireland Sustainable Business Impact Awards 2023 for our work on the KIND Project.

We provide pro bono legal services to the Kids in Need Defence (KIND) Project, by preparing family reunification applications for unaccompanied refugee children.

The KIND project operates in many countries across the globe, and in Ireland is operated through a joint collaboration between the Immigrant Council of Ireland and the Irish Refugee Council. We partnered with the KIND project in 2022 to act for unaccompanied refugee children who have already been granted refugee status. The nature of the pro bono work involves preparing and submitting family reunification applications to the Department of Justice. If successful, the immediate family members of the refugee children can be granted permission to enter the country.

The Sustainable Business Impact Awards showcase best practice in sustainable business development and social responsibility in companies of all sizes across Ireland. The Awards are aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and celebrate sustainable business practices which will help meet these goals by 2030.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 14 September 2023.
