Mock WRC Workplace Inspection/Audit Service

Why are we offering this audit service?
Our Employment Law & Benefits team advises employers across all sectors on how to best comply with their employment law obligations and to reduce legal exposure. The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) carries out compliance inspections at workplaces across Ireland, often unannounced. To help employers proactively prepare and ensure they are inspection ready, we have developed a mock WRC workplace inspection/audit service.
Why do I need this service?
Where breaches of employment law are detected following a WRC inspection, serious consequences may follow. These often include the issuing of compliance notices, fixed payment notices, prosecution, and reputational damage. Our audit helps you identify and address issues before the real inspectors arrive.
What is the audit process?
Our audit simulates a real WRC inspection and covers:
- A review of employee documentation and records including:
- Contracts of employment
- Working time and leave records
- Right to work documentation
- Payslips and pay arrangements
- Workplace policies and procedures
- An assessment of compliance with key legislation
- The identification of gaps or missing documentation
- Queries and follow-up requests
- An assessment of your team’s readiness to respond to WRC information requests under tight deadlines
What happens after the audit?
We provide a clear, digestible compliance report that outlines:
- Any deficiencies or areas of non-compliance
- The legal risks associated with those breaches
- Practical, prioritised recommendations to help you rectify issues quickly and efficiently
