Event: Child Protection Training for Education Professionals
Top tips to effectively prepare for complex cases and court proceedings
Thursday 19th March 2026 | 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM

We are launching a pilot programme of legal training for education professionals on 19 March 2026.
The Child Protection Training for Education Professionals, developed by our Education, Health and Prosecution teams, will take place at the Grand Hotel Malahide from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm.
This is a great opportunity for key stakeholders such as principals, teachers, designated liaison officer and board members in schools to take part in this first training session.
The training will be facilitated by Catherine Kelly, Partner in our Employment & Benefits team and Sonya Bruen, former social worker and Partner in our Health & Prosecution team specialising in child protection. Drawing on Catherine’s experience of advising schools on child protection issues and Sonya’s management of child protection cases in Court, this workshop will help professionals strengthen their legal knowledge and courtroom readiness.
