About Laura
Laura is Of Counsel in our Health and Prosecutions Department, practising in childcare law, healthcare law and prosecutions.
She specialises in child protection and welfare and is a trusted advisor for TUSLA, with experience in handling highly contested cases in the District Court. Laura helps a broad range of professionals prepare for court proceedings, including social workers, medical practitioners and education professionals with particular expertise in criminal prosecutions for non-school attendance.
Laura lectures at Trinity College Dublin, on behalf of Mason Hayes & Curran, and provides bespoke workshops for other universities, colleges and schools on a range of topics such as child protection legislation and safeguarding legislation for vulnerable adults.
Before training as a Solicitor, Laura qualified as a New York State Attorney-at-Law, obtained an LLB in Irish Law and an LLM Masters in Commercial Law.
Prior to joining Mason Hayes & Curran, Laura trained and practised with a leading corporate law firm.
