Navigating cross-border practice presents complex legal and administrative hurdles, both before and after a practitioner commences work in the State.

On Thursday 29 October, from 7.45am to 9.30am, Mason Hayes & Curran, in collaboration with the Professional, Regulatory & Disciplinary Bar Association (PRDBA), is hosting an expert panel examining cross-border regulation within Ireland’s regulated professions. From initial registration through to ongoing regulatory compliance, our speakers will address the practical realities that arise when regulatory bodies engage with applicants from other jurisdictions, with a particular focus also on fitness to practiSe history and public protection.

Speakers:

  • Niall Michel, Partner, Public, Regulatory & Investigations, Mason Hayes & Curran
  • Hugh McDowell BL, Barrister-at-Law
  • Professor Deirdre Murphy, President of the Medical Council
  • Orla Crowe, Director of Fitness to Practise in Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)

This event will be of particular interest to regulatory officers and legal counsel operating across multi-jurisdictional frameworks.
