We hosted our Employment Law Top Tips - Key updates for employers webinar on Wednesday 8 April.

During this session, our speakers highlighted the key developments employers need to be aware of in 2026 and shared practical guidance on how to manage emerging workplace risks.

Our speakers covered:

• Developments in equality law – including the Employment (Contractual Retirement Ages) Act 2025, proposed amendments to the Employment Equality and Equal Status Acts and emerging protections around pregnancy loss.
• New workplace Codes of Practice – updates to the Code of Practice on Access to Part-Time Work and developments regarding the Code of Practice on the Right to Request Remote Working, and what these developments mean for employers handling requests.
• Worker status developments – including increased regulatory focus on employment status, the impact of the Revenue amnesty scheme and implications of the EU Platform Workers Directive.

They also shared practical insights from recent cases and provided regulatory guidance, These updates were aimed at helping employers better understand what these developments mean in practice and how best to mitigate legal risk when managing employees and workplace policies.
