Micheál Grace


Micheál is a partner in our Financial Services team and former Head of our London Office. Micheál advises a range of financial institutions, funds and private equity on commercial real estate finance transactions, syndicated credit facilities, tax driven financing structures as well as development, construction and project finance.

In recent years, he has advised both vendors and purchasers in the context of large non-performing loan portfolio disposals, loan on loan financing and distressed asset restructuring. Micheál has particular experience in advising international clients on real estate financing structures secured by residential developments, shopping centres, multi-use developments and data centres.

Representative Matters

  • Advised Bank of Ireland in financing and re-financing the acquisition of a number of multi-unit residential developments by a US sponsored ICAV with a number of sub-funds.
  • Advised a leading US co-location data centre provider in relation to the acquisition, construction and financing of an 18MW data centre in Dublin.
  • Advised the McGettigan Group with respect to documenting a bespoke multi-facility corporate finance and trading loan agreement for one of Ireland’s leading manufacturers and exporters.

  • Micheál has spoken at conferences organised by the American Bar Association (Section of International Law), UKTI, British Irish Chamber of Commerce, Society of Young Solicitors Ireland, Dublin Solicitors Bar Association and AIJA (International Association of Young Lawyers).
  • Micheál has lectured on the Irish Law Society’s Certificate of Banking Law and Practice course.
