Micheál Grace


Micheál is a partner in our Financial Services Team and former Head of our London Office. Micheál advises a range of financial institutions, funds and private equity on commercial real estate finance transactions, syndicated credit facilities, tax driven financing structures and project finance. In recent years, he has advised both financiers, vendors and purchasers in the context of large non-performing loan portfolio disposals, loan on loan financing and distressed asset restructuring. Micheál has particular experience in advising international clients on real estate financing structures involving shopping centres, multi-use developments, wind farms and data centres.

Representative Matters

  • Advised Bank of Ireland in financing and re-financing the acquisition of a number of multi-unit residential developments by a US sponsored ICAV with a number of sub-funds.
  • Advised a leading US private equity firm in relation to the acquisition, financing and work-out of a number of significant non-performing loan portfolios from NAMA and the Royal Bank of Scotland group.
  • Advised Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. with respect to documenting a bespoke multi-facility corporate finance and trading loan agreement for one of Ireland’s leading manufacturers and exporters.
