Jay Sattin

Senior Associate

Jay is a Senior Associate in our Planning and Environmental Law team. He practices in both contentious and non-contentious planning and environmental law.

Jay advises and represents banks, contractors, engineers, developers and investors on energy, planning and environmental matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Jay worked for a law firm in London on a range of complex planning and environmental matters for investors, banks, developers and objectors.  Before moving into law, Jay worked as an environmental consultant for five years, primarily preparing Environmental Impact Assessment Reports in support of major infrastructure projects.

Representative Matters

  • Acted in judicial review applications before the High Court and Court of Appeal
  • Advised a client on their strategic housing development, including advising on the requirements of the Habitats Directive, negotiating planning, development and infrastructure agreements, and reviewing planning applications
  • Advised clients on their planning and environmental legal liability associated with the purchase and sale of properties and businesses
