Jason is Head of our Debt Recovery team. Together with an experienced team of solicitors, senior legal executives and case workers, he acts for banking, business, state/semi-state and private clients, to collect unpaid debt.
Jason joined the Firm seventeen years ago and has worked in the Debt Recovery group since qualifying in 2004.
Jason and the Debt Recovery Team handle all aspects of collection work from pre-legal recovery, escalating to litigation and where necessary judgment enforcement and bankruptcy. The team specialises in providing a fast, efficient recovery service to clients with volume business, regardless of the size of the debts.
Jason has contributed to publications and written articles on the areas of credit and cash flow, bankruptcy, judgment enforcement and trans-frontier litigation. Like many other MH&C lawyers, he teaches trainee solicitors in the Law Society and provides training to professionals working in the credit sector.
Enforcement of Foreign Judgments
Prosecuting bankruptcy proceedings for an Irish pillar Bank and successfully defeating application to show cause against the Debtor's adjudication as a bankrupt.
Advising secured lenders in respect of arrangements sought by customers pursuant to Personal Insolvency Act 2012.
Advising investment funds on enforcement strategy and options in Ireland, following their acquisition of portfolios of loans.
Obtaining Garnishee Orders for the Motor Insurer's Bureau of Ireland (MIBI), over monies due to be paid by third parties to judgment debtors.
Enforcement of security taken by major Irish Banks over multiple investment residential and commercial property and in particular the taking of possession of such properties on behalf of the firm's client Banks.
Leading the pre-legal recovery team who acted in the collection of significant amounts of debt on behalf of the firm's Business to Consumer and Business to Business client base, particularly schools and property management businesses.
