David is a Partner in our Energy, Utilities & Projects and Construction, Infrastructure & Utilities teams. David specialises in project development and finance advising developers, banks, contractors and the public sector in many sectors including infrastructure, housing, education campuses and energy.
David joins Mason Hayes & Curran LLP from another leading Dublin firm where he was a partner. Prior to that, he was a senior associate in a Big Six firm in Australia specialising in projects and energy.
In addition to nine years in major Irish firms, he spent four years as in house counsel advising on the winding up of an Irish bank. David’s many years in practice advising on the construction aspects on large scale infrastructure projects and PPPs in Ireland and Australia, combined with his banking and finance experience makes him a trusted lead adviser on project finance matters.
Advised a German wind farm developer on the restructuring of project finance contracts for a 56MW cross border wind farm portfolio worth €100M.
Acted for a shipping and logistics company for the redevelopment of a port in Co Louth.
Advised a German utility on a request for proposals and numerous contracts for a 600MW Offshore Wind Farm in Ireland.
Advised the Victorian Department of Health on the design and construction of the €300 million Victorian Heart Hospital in Melbourne.
