A smiling man and woman, both in business attire

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Herangi as a partner and Head of our Data Solutions Group.

Laura has deep expertise in all areas of data retrieval and management. She primarily advises clients in the management of large-scale discovery projects, information and data gathering for regulatory and corporate investigations, and in the management of responses to Data Subject Access Requests. Prior to developing this expertise, Laura was a litigation lawyer, so her approach is informed by a rounded understanding of the requirements for accurate data retrieval and management in the context of both investigations and disputes.

Laura’s approach involves the optimal combination of document retrieval and management software, the use of AI tools, and project management. This approach gives clients more efficient, reliable, and cheaper ways to undertake these complex tasks across all platforms where information is held. Clients also benefit from a full audit trail of the processes undertaken.

Commenting on her appointment, Maurice Phelan, Partner and Head of our Dispute Resolution team said: “I am very pleased to welcome Laura to the firm. She brings a wealth of specialised knowledge in all aspects of data and information retrieval and management. Laura’s appointment will benefit our clients as they navigate the increasing need to be able to retrieve and marshal data in a variety of contentious circumstances.”

Laura added: “I look forward to working with Maurice and colleagues across the firm to develop efficiencies for our clients as they manage their growing data commitments and challenges. Clients appreciate that the skilled use of AI and other technologies coupled with good dispute management principles deliver the best and most efficient outcomes.”

Laura is a graduate of University College Dublin and UCD Smurfit School of Business.
