Advising ING and DekaBank on Over €200 Million Financing of Major Wind Farm Developed by Ecopower

We are pleased to have advised ING and DekaBank on the successful provision of over €200 million in project financing to support the development, construction and operation of a major onshore wind project developed by Ecopower.
The wind farm has a total installed capacity of 100MW and is expected to reach commissioning in 2026 and we provided pre-bank mandate advice to the developer as well as the negotiation of all key project agreements.
This transaction reflects the strength of Ireland’s renewables pipeline and the continued appetite among lenders for well-structured, utility-scale energy projects that support the country’s climate and energy targets.
Commenting on the transaction, Eoin Cassidy, Partner and Energy sector lead at Mason Hayes & Curran, said:
"We are proud to have supported ING and DekaBank in financing what will be one of Ireland’s most significant onshore wind farms. This transaction demonstrates the resilience of well-prepared projects and the strength of investor commitment to Ireland’s renewable future."
The transaction was led by Eoin Cassidy and Conor Lynch, Partner in our Banking practice, supported by a multidisciplinary team across our Energy and Banking practices.
