James Morrin

Senior Associate

James is a Senior Associate on our Dispute Resolution team. He advises on all aspects of commercial disputes and in relation to corporate and personal insolvency, both contentious and advisory.

James regularly acts for lending institutions, insolvency practitioners, companies and their officers and other stakeholders in formal insolvency processes and related litigation.

James is also experienced in high value, complex, and multi-jurisdictional commercial litigation arising from shareholder disputes, professional negligence and civil fraud.

Representative Matters

  • Advising a liquidator on the successful application to recover monies held by a trustee of the company in liquidation.
  • Leading advice in a multijurisdictional dispute involving €27m Commercial Court debt recovery proceedings on behalf of secured creditor.
  • Closely supporting lead partner in acting in the defence of a receiver and charge holder in a commercial court case (7 day trial)  relating to specific performance of a contract of sale of a large estate of land.
