James is a partner in our Privacy and Security team working between our Dublin and London offices. He advises on a wide variety of privacy matters including GDPR, e-Privacy laws, online marketing, and data security. His clients include major tech corporations and other data driven companies.
He has particular experience advising on the relationship between marketing and privacy including ad tech and analytics technologies, looking at issues such as cookies, online profiling, device recognition technologies, and custom audience initiatives.
James regularly represents clients before regulators and in litigation relating to privacy and data security. He has also previously acted as external Data Protection Officer for leading global analytic and ad tech companies.
James is a IAPP CIPP/E certified Privacy Professional. He speaks regularly at conferences on data protection and privacy issues.
