About Bláithín
Bláithín is an Associate in our Health & Prosecutions team, practising in childcare law, healthcare law and prosecutions.
Bláithín specialises in child protection and welfare, appearing regularly before the courts as applicant for TUSLA in child protection proceedings and the HSE in Mental Health applications involving minors. Bláithín also prosecutes on behalf of TUSLA on education welfare matters.
With strong advocacy skills, she handles highly contested cases before the District Court and assists her TUSLA clients along with a broad range of professional prepare for court proceedings, including social workers, gardai, medical practitioners and education professionals. Bláithín has particular expertise in the legal process of initially bringing a child into care, balancing the rights of parents, the rights of children, and fair procedures, along with guiding clients through ongoing court supervision of children in care.
Prior to joining Mason Hayes & Curran, she trained and practised with a leading corporate law firm. Bláithín also gained experience in the areas of fitness to practise investigations, immigration and refugee law and anti-doping investigations.
