We would like to congratulate Orreco, who have been announced as the overall winners of the 2023 Irish Times Innovation Awards. The Galway-based sports tech company also took the top prize in the Mason Hayes & Curran-sponsored IT and Fintech category.

Their prize was presented by Rowena Fitzgerald, Co-Head of our Financial Regulation team, and Fintech partner Sarah Cloonan, who both adjudicated the Awards this year.

Orreco uses sports science and data-led tools to enhance elite athlete performance. Combining sports science, data science, nutrition, statistical modeling and machine learning, the company provides its clients with knowledge and actionable insights to optimise performance.

The Irish Times Innovation Awards showcase and reward the best in business innovation in Ireland. The prize package includes a scholarship for short courses in executive development at the UCD Michael Smurfit School of Business, plus a digital subscription to The Irish Times.
