Gemma Allen Interviewed on The Upfront Podcast

Gemma Allen, our Director of North America Market and Strategy, joined Katie Hannon as a guest on RTÉ’s The Upfront.
Gemma discussed why Ireland remains a leading destination for US businesses, even amid global tax policy changes. The discussion comes as an executive order was signed withdrawing the US from the OECD corporate tax agreement.
Ireland's 12.5% corporate tax rate coupled with a need for multinationals to have a European base, means Gemma remains confident that major US companies will continue to do business in Ireland.
"American business and decision makers really like the Irish culture and its alignment to the US. It's the kind of 'closer to Boston than Berlin’ philosophy that we sometimes hear – and that's worked very, very well for us."
