Nina Hourigan Smith
Nina is Director of Client Service at Mason Hayes & Curran. She is an experienced solicitor with ten years’ experience in corporate law. Nina has practised in leading commercial law firms in Ireland and Australia and has held an in-house role in the financial services industry. Her responsibility is to help the firm deliver superior service to all clients. Superior service means more than excellent advice. It means excellent advice that is quickly given and is very clear and highly practical.
Nina’s role involves client liaison, the creation of bespoke service plans, the continuous development of client service standards across the firm, training and lawyer development. Nina’s role also involves a focus on continuous improvement through innovation and change for the benefit of clients. She is the client’s voice within the firm.

Mary is Director of Operations & HR at Mason Hayes & Curran. She has overall responsibility for developing and implementing the firm’s HR strategy, including training and development, to ensure that all fee earners can provide the best possible service to clients. Mary has 10 years’ experience in the legal sector. She joined Arthur O’Hagan Solicitors in 2002 as HR & Administration Manager and moved to Mason Hayes & Curran when the firms merged in 2008.
Mary previously worked in the IT sector where she held a variety of roles including IT Instructor (Microsoft Certified Trainer), Administration Manager and Marketing Manager. She is a member of the PM Forum and the Legal Education & Training Group (LETG). She is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) and a graduate member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland.

Natalie joined as Director of Marketing and Business Development in 2010. She is responsible for developing and implementing the marketing strategy at Mason Hayes & Curran with a particular focus on client management.
Prior to joining Mason Hayes & Curran, Natalie worked as Alumni Relations Director in UCD School of Business and also worked in Vodafone for almost 10 years in a number of marketing roles in Ireland, UK and Asia. Natalie is an MBA graduate from UCD Smurfit School and member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland and MBA Association of Ireland.

Des joined as Director of Finance at Mason Hayes & Curran in 2006. Des has worked for over 12 years in the legal sector and holds a wide range of financial experience. Having trained and qualified with John Woods Chartered Accountants, Des spent four years in Audit with Price Waterhouse before moving into industry with Tesco Ireland as Financial Reporting Manager.
Prior to joining Mason Hayes & Curran, Des spent over five years in the finance department of another leading law firm. He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and a member of the Institute of Legal Accountants in Ireland. Des has brought this experience to bear, ensuring the effectiveness of Mason Hayes & Curran’s comprehensive financial controls and systems in providing a secure, efficient financial client management and support service to the firm.

Niall joined as Director of IT at Mason Hayes & Curran in 2008. Niall has extensive knowledge of the Legal IT industry having held a senior IT role in another top six law firm for over 10 years. He has been involved in the IT industry for 18 years.
Niall has a wide range of experience with numerous IT systems across various different platforms. He has brought this experience to bear in delivering a comprehensive IT strategy to supply Mason Hayes & Curran with a cutting edge IT platform for providing fast and efficient services to clients.

Amanda is a partner and director of knowledge at Mason Hayes & Curran. She is an experienced corporate lawyer. Amanda practised in leading commercial firms in Ireland and England and was a legal director at AIB merchant services.
Amanda leads the knowledge department and is responsible for designing and delivering the knowledge strategy across the firm. In 2016, the knowledge department was shortlisted for ‘innovation in knowledge management’ at the lawyer business leadership awards. They were also shortlisted in 2015 for ‘the best knowledge team’ award. Previous areas of expertise include Corporate law, Commercial law, card and payment processing and knowledge and training.

Anne is head of Library Services at Mason Hayes & Curran with responsibility for developing and managing library and information services at the firm. She has a particular focus on the provision of quality information services and the use of new technologies.
Anne has 25 years’ experience working in the library sector and previously worked in medical, education, and film libraries. Anne has an Arts degree from UCD and a post graduate qualification in Library and Information studies.
