Wind energy already plays a central role in Ireland's electricity system. Offshore wind will be critical to meeting future demand, with Ireland targeting 20 GW of offshore capacity by 2040.

The focus has now shifted to delivery, and the decisions being made now on planning, grid, ports and supply chain will determine how quickly that target can be reached.

As leaders in Energy law, we are proud to support Wind Energy Ireland through our sponsorship of the Offshore Wind Conference, taking place on 26 and 27 May in Dublin.

The event brings together more than 500 senior decision-makers including developers, suppliers, investors, financiers and policymakers. With major planning and infrastructure decisions ahead, this year's conference comes at an important moment for offshore wind in Ireland.

We look forward to being part of the discussion. Find out more and register via the Wind Energy Ireland website.
