About Ciara
Ciara is an associate in our Data and Technology team, having joined the firm in 2025.
Ciara provides commercially driven advice to global and domestic organisations on cybersecurity and data protection. Ciara has particular experience co-ordinating pan-European NIS2 compliance projects, guiding clients through overlapping jurisdictional obligations. Ciara advises clients on requirements under various cybersecurity regimes, including carrying out scoping exercises, developing compliance strategies, and incident readiness and reporting protocols. Ciara regularly assists with critical security incidents from initial containment and reporting, to follow up engagement with regulators. Her practice also covers GDPR compliance, advising clients on the adoption of new technologies by organisations, managing data subject rights, data processing agreements and cookie compliance.
Before joining the firm, Ciara trained with another prominent international law firm and was selected for an international secondment during her traineeship. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, Ciara worked in a general practice law firm, and a law firm specialising in criminal and human rights law. Ciara has also worked in the public sector.
