Gender Pay Gap Report 2026

We have published our 2026 Gender Pay Gap Report, marking five years of reporting on gender representation and remuneration across Mason Hayes & Curran.

Gender balance is important to the long-term success of our firm. Since 2022, we have strengthened our career development programmes and introduced additional supports to help colleagues progress into senior roles.

During the 2026 reporting period, women accounted for all partner promotions and 75% of Of Counsel appointments.

Women now represent 66% of our workforce, 56% of our lawyers and 43% of partners.

Key findings from our 2026 gender pay gap analysis

Our 2026 results remain broadly consistent with 2025. Including partners, the mean hourly pay gap increased from 51% to 52%, while the median reduced slightly from 33% to 32%. Excluding partners, the mean gap narrowed from 11% to 10%, while the median increased from 23% to 24%.

Structural factors continue to influence these figures, particularly the greater representation of men in senior partnership roles and women in business support functions.

We remain focused on supporting career progression through coaching, professional development and practical programmes, including maternity transition planning and support for colleagues balancing work with family and caring responsibilities.

As in previous years, we have voluntarily included partners in our analysis to provide a more complete and transparent picture of remuneration across the firm.

Our commitment is to build on the progress made, support greater gender balance in senior roles and create a more inclusive working environment for all our people.
