John Murphy

John joined our New York Office in July 2013 after more than a dozen years as a litigation and regulatory attorney at global law firms White & Case and Linklaters, and more recently, global investment bank, UBS AG.

John’s role is to support our Irish attorneys in serving their existing US client base. He provides an immediately available US based presence and point of contact for our US clients. He maintains the closest contact with staff members of Irish government agencies with presence in the US, such as IDA Ireland.

Representative Matters

  • Advised and facilitated many US Corporates on their establishment of operations and subsidiaries in Ireland.
  • Conducted several internal investigations and regulatory agency follow-up as Co-Head of Internal Investigation unit of a major financial services company
  • Represented a major UK bank in the face of criminal, regulatory and civil litigations arising out of the bank’s alleged violations of international sanctions against rogue nations
