David Manley Awards 2015Pat began his fitness business in May 2012, training five people on a beach in Barna, Co. Galway and now, each month, trains 800 people online and 200 in his Galway studio. A year to the day of starting on the beach, Pat opened his first studio and signed a deal for his first book '21 Day Jump Start' which became the best-selling health book of 2013. His vision is to be the “Jamie Oliver of the Fitness Industry” and he was recognised by Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg for his story and use of social media.

The other Category winners this year were Sarah Davis-Goff and Lisa Coen of Tramp Press (Emerging Arts Entrepreneur winners) and Stephen Cluskey of (Emerging Social Entrepreneur winner.) They each receive €1,000 in cash and mentoring.

Partner Claire Lord opened the awards and commented, “Entrepreneurship is a key factor in the Irish economic and social recovery and Pat Divilly is a deserving winner. We look forward to working with him to develop and scale his business. Our long track record of working with organisations from startup to IPO means that we understand the need for smart legal advice on a range of issues from intellectual property protection to investor funding.”

The Awards were established by a group of David Manley’s friends in the Dublin Chamber of Commerce to honour his mentoring of entrepreneurs during his lifetime. The awards honour the enterprising spirit within Business, the Arts and the Social community.
