The European Awards recognise top legal professionals across different countries, ranging from small corporate boutiques to some of Europe’s biggest firms. The ‘European Managing Partner of the Year’ category saw five leading Managing Partners shortlisted from law firms throughout Europe. The overall winner was Manuel Martin of Spanish firm Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.
Commenting on the award, Emer Gilvarry said: “I am honoured to have been first shortlisted and then recognised in this category, particularly given the high calibre of the competition. It is a testament to the hard work by everyone in the firm and our unrelenting focus on excellence in our advice and service to our clients.”
Last year we were awarded ‘Irish Law Firm of the Year’ at the Irish Law Awards and were one of only eight firms in Europe to win a ‘Client Excellence’ award from Chambers and Partners.
Emer Gilvarry will finish her tenure as Managing Partner after six successful years on 31 March 2014.
