Congratulations to our Associate Katie Nolan who was recently honoured with a Fulbright Award by Minister Charlie Flanagan and Mr Reece Smyth, Chargé d’affaires of the US Embassy.

The Fulbright Awards offer Irish and US students, scholars and professionals the opportunity to study, lecture, and research at leading universities and institutions in the US and Ireland respectively.

Katie is an Associate in our Commercial team. Katie has advised private and public sector organisations on a wide variety of issues, including cross-border data exports, cyber-security breaches, product review and regulatory investigations and litigation in the privacy sphere. Her studies at the University of California, Berkeley, will be closely linked to this area of law.

While at Berkeley as a Fulbright Awardee, Katie plans to focus on the comparative regulation of technology issues, in particular information privacy law.
