Liam Guidera is a deeply experienced lawyer and joins after over 20 years’ service with another Dublin firm. Liam’s practice focuses on the resolution of business disputes and the representation of members of trade and political associations and unions. Liam has also acted for high profile parties in tribunals of inquiry.
In addition, Liam advises on insurance and professional risks and has acted for plaintiffs, defendants and insurers in all types of liability claims. These include catastrophic and fatal injuries, maritime accidents, asbestos-related claims, medical malpractice and professional negligence suits. He has also represented clients in constitutional challenges to legislation viewed as incompatible with Ireland’s Constitution.
Liam is a qualified arbitrator who acts both as arbitrator and as advocate for parties in arbitrations. He has appeared as an advocate in many courts, inquiries and administrative tribunals. He has been a tutor in University College Dublin in Constitutional Law and Property, a member of an Expert Group on Law Reform and lectures on litigation in the Law Society of Ireland.
