Elizabeth Ryan acts for both employers and employees in contentious employment disputes before third parties such as the Rights Commissioner, Employment Appeals Tribunal, Equality Tribunal, the Labour Relations Commission and the Civil Courts.
Elizabeth provides non-contentious advice on all aspects of employment law including the drafting of employment contracts and policies and procedures in areas such as discipline, grievance, bullying and harassment and social media. She has advised on internal reorganisation and redundancy programmes including collective redundancy programmes. She has particular expertise in sectors such as technology and financial services.
Elizabeth also advises on all aspects of Health and Safety Law including that which applies to bullying and stress in the workplace.
Elizabeth joined Mason Hayes & Curran in 1999 and was appointed as a Senior Associate in 2005. She is a lecturer, tutor for the Law Society of Ireland and speaks regularly at conferences on the subject of employment law and related topics.
