Lobbying and Legislating: What’s New for the Public and Private Sectors - Publications
Event Date: 30 April 2015
The passing of the Regulation of Lobbying Act 2015 will have a significant impact on how government business is conducted in future. In addition, the recent Court of Appeal judgment Bederev v Ireland has served as a reminder that flaws in legislating and the legislative process can lead to dramatic results in the courts.
This seminar focused on how the 2015 Act will change the interaction between the public and private sectors, as well as looking generally at how the legislative process works and the ways in which legislation can be subject to legal challenge.
