The speakers’ topics were as follows:
Declan Black discussed the current trends in relation to Receiverships, Examinerships and Liquidations and what can be done to mitigate potential losses when they occur.
Paul Egan discussed directors’ and officers’ rights, obligations and liabilities in and prior to insolvency and how to deal with the substantial risks involved relating to these positions.
Neil Steen BL considered the various remedies available to creditors in seeking to maximise recovery from debtors with scarce resources and provided an insight into current trends in the Courts to include the Commercial Court.
The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session during which the speakers addressed a range of legal concerns arising across various organisations.
