A recent Irish report on absenteeism found that:

  • 11 million days are lost every year due to employee absence.
  • Absence costs busineses around €1.5 billion or €818 per employee.
  • Employees miss on average 5.98 days per annum.

It is therefore vital that employers have a strong policy in place to deal with sick leave and long term absenteeism.

The focus of this Top Tips Seminar will be to look at practical tips regarding managing sick leave, drafting sick pay policies and on how to deal with the long term absence of an employee.
