Our insurance defence group is made up of a team of lawyers specialising in handling large and complex litigation matters for insurance companies. The group provides legal services to:
- Most major insurance companies and Lloyd’s syndicates writing business in Ireland.
- National and multinational corporations who carry large policy excesses and who are, to a large extent, self-insured.
The group has a wide range of experience in handling all types of insurance litigation and provides legal services to the insurance industry on coverage disputes, reinsurance and policy wording. A large part of the legal service provided relates to complex litigation and large project work.
Mason Hayes+Curran also deals with high volume work relating to public liability, employer liability and road traffic litigation. In that area, we provide a seamless service and are in a position to conduct investigations and handle claims through to conclusion.

Lorcan Buckley leads the insurance defence team at Mason Hayes+Curran's.
